Dylan — the hands behind Zenlerk.com — spent 2018 to 2027 working full time on a Top of the South orchard. He started as an orchard hand and worked his way up — supervisor, machine operator, and finally IT assistant. He owes a lot of what he knows, and much of his success, to the people who helped him grow along the way.
Working in that industry, he saw first-hand the need for rural IT support — and in late 2026, while hunting for a proper challenge, the idea for NAROX took shape. After years of building, breaking and running the self-hosted infrastructure behind Zenlerk.com, he'd watched the same story play out too many times: promising tech, shoddy setup, and nobody around to make it right.
He brought NAROX to life in 2027 to do exactly what he does best — serve the people who need help, the best way he knows how: practical, hands-on, and built on gear that actually runs.
Dylan starts working on a Top of the South orchard — orchard hand, then supervisor, then machine operator — and begins Zenlerk.com on the side for his growing homelab hobby.
In his later years at the orchard, now its IT assistant, he sees the rural IT support gap up close — and the NAROX idea takes shape.
